More Central Coast groups take in pets displaced by fires

Two Central Coast animal rescues have taken in dogs and cats displaced by the Hill Fire.

They came from Ventura County Animal Services.

Peace of Mind Dog Rescue and Animal Friends Rescue Project volunteers, along with help from Monterey boarding facility Home Away From Home, made a 10-hour round trip to pick up the animals.

They will be taken back to Pacific Grove to be housed and linked with foster volunteers. Morgan Hill group, Jake’s Wish, will also take in dogs.

The animals brought to the Central Coast are all adoptable and are not looking to be reunited with guardians. Before they’re adopted the dogs and cats will get medical exams, vaccines and be spayed and neutered. Two donate to either of the non-profits head to peaceofminddogrescue.org or animalfriendrescue.org
