Covered California bus stops in Salinas

The Covered California bus made a return to the Central Coast Friday making a stop at the Steinbeck Center in Salinas.

It had already made a visit in San Jose and also had a San Luis Obispo stop following the Central Coast visit.

Covered California says they want to get the word out that access to affordable health care insurance is possible.

“[There’s] a couple of misconceptions,” Peter Lee, Covered California executive director said, “Number one [they think] can’t afford it. Ninety-percent of the people who sign up for Covered California get financial help many of them are paying $50 a month for great coverage.”

The enrollment period ends January 15th.
