Police arrest man after car chase and crash in Capitola
A police pursuit that started in Scotts Valley ended in a crash and arrest in Capitola Saturday.
Scotts Valley police said an officer tried to stop Lac To, 37, for driving erratically on Mt. Hermon Road. He sped off and lead police and CHP officers onto Highway 17 and southbound Highway 1.
Police called off the pursuit when the car exited the freeway, but a Scotts Valley officer later found it involved in a crash with another car at Bay Avenue and Hill Street in Capitola.

He, his passenger, and the occupant of the other car were taken to local hospitals for treatment of injuries. After being released from the hospital, To was arrested on several felony charges and booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail.
