Man arrested for shooting gun in two Salinas locations

A man was arrested by Soledad Police for negligent discharge of a gun.

It happened at two places in Salinas on Tuesday, October 2nd.

Salinas Police responded to ShotSpotter activations, but did not find anything.

It happened at E. Market Street and 2nd Avenue and in Chinatown.

The first shots happened around 8:24 p.m. on Monday.

The incident in Chinatown happened at around 1:45 a.m. Tuesday.

The suspected shooter, 37-year-old Victor Manuel Rico, was later arrested by officers in Soledad for gun possession.
