Two arrested for armed robbery at Natividad Creek Park

Two men were arrested for robbing victims at gunpoint at Natividad Creek Park in Salinas.

The incident happened around 9 p.m. Monday (Oct. 1).

One victim was robbed of his wallet.

A witness described the suspects vehicle and SPD officers were able to track it down near Las Casitas Drive.

While stopped, the driver, 23-year-old Hector Barron admitted that he had a gun in his pocket. SPD recovered the loaded .38 caliber revolver. 23-year-old passenger, Christian Garcia and Barron were identified as the robbery suspects and were later booked into Monterey County Jail for armed robbery, conspiracy and possession of the firearm charges.
