Car fire ignites brush off Hwy 101 near Prunedale
Multiple agencies responded to a fire burning off Highway 101 in Monterey County.
According to Monterey County dispatch, a car fire ignited around 12:40 p.m. near Echo Valley Road.
The fire reportedly spread to brush and light poles in the surrounding area.

The fire was extinguished and the car was towed.
Both California Highway Patrol and firefighters responded to the scene.
Echo Valley Road reopened around 3:30 p.m.
