Lake Nacimiento closes marina fuel station due to low water levels

Those looking to fuel up their boats at Lake Nacimiento’s marina are out of luck.

The resort said starting Thursday (9/6), they will not have fuel available at the marina until the lake level rises.

General Manager, Nate Merkle said in 2017 the lake rose to 80 feet and the water pushed a significant amount of sand to the shoreline where the marina is anchored.

“This buildup has decreased the slope significantly and, though we are higher in capacity, we have actually pushed the marina out farther than we have in the last 7 years,” said Merkle.

Boaters can still use the lake, just bring your own gas.
