Santa Cruz Police searching for stabbing suspect

Santa Cruz Police are looking for a woman wanted for a stabbing a man after an argument over a dog.

According to police, it happened just before six a.m. on August 5th in a parking lot on Mission Street in Santa Cruz.

Police said the woman stabbed the man then took off on foot.

She is described as a Hispanic woman in her early to mid-20s, 5’7″, with a medium build and short brown hair with a “pixie” style haircut.

She was seen with another man driving a van. The van was described as maroon and brown.

The victim will be okay and was left with a non-life threatening injury to his face. He was released from the hospital a few hours after it happened.
