Traffic Increase to Come During Upcoming Car Week
Car week is soon to arrive here on the Central Coast. For many the yearly event is highly anticipated. One thing residents can expect is an increase in traffic. The Pacific Grove Police Department says thousands of people will come out to the area from now to the end of the month.
They say they plan to patrol several of the events taking place during car week. Their goal is to control traffic flow through the area and maintain a safe environment for both pedestrians and cars.
For now, all cross streets are set to stay open, and will only shut down traffic if need be.
Commuters can prepare for the high volume of tourists by planning to leave 10 to 15 minutes early.
