Monterey County’s Turkey Fire 100 percent contained

UPDATE: 8/7/2018 11:40 a.m. Firefighters fully contained a vegetation fire burning in south Monterey County.

Cal Fire BEU said the vegetation fire grew to 2,225 acres off Turkey Flat Road, near Parkfield, CA.

The #TurkeyFire ignited Monday afternoon.

Cal Fire San Luis Obispo sent crews to assist with the fire.

The fire burned near a solar power plant, but no structures were damaged.
