Portion of San Juan Grade Road set for resurfacing project

Drivers commuting through San Juan Grade Road in the Bolsa Knolls area may see delays due to a resurfacing project being down to a street in the area.

Construction will stretch from Russell Road to Rogge Road on San Juan Grade and will could take the entirety of August to complete.

This comes as schools in Salinas are about to open for the year, meaning potential delays for commuters.

The project is being funded by Measure X and has an estimated price tag of $832,000.

“No Parking” signs are placed on the street and read “No Parking, 7 am to 5:30 am Monday through Friday August 1 to the 31.”

This stretch of street on San Juan Grade has long been an eyesore in terms of its condition.

Crews spent the first few days of August prepping the area for construction to officially begin on the 6th.

Construction hours will be from 7 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday.
