Fire burns lookout and communication sites in Santa Cruz Mountains
A fire burned the decommissioned Eagle Rock Lookout Tower in the Santa Cruz Mountains, Saturday afternoon. They are calling it the Eagle Fire.
The fire, first reported at 4:34 p.m., burned roughly a half-acre, northwest of Boulder Creek.
Cal Fire says a state agency communication site was also burned.
The Eagle Fire is still under investigation.
