MasterChef Season 7 winner Shaun O’Neale visits Gilroy Garlic Festival

KION coverage of the 40th Annual Gilroy Garlic festival continues with a live interview where our Victor Guzman talks with celebrity chef Shaun O’Neale.

O’Neale is making his second trip to the Gilroy Garlic Festival and won season 7’s MasterChef competition in 2016.

During the interview O’Neale described his fascination with the Garlic Festival started when he was younger. He saw video of the festival as it aired on live television.

O’Neale will serve as an emcee for the Champions of Charity cooking competition as well as the first-ever Garlic Chef Jr. cook-off.

Chef O’Neale will also host a cooking demonstration of his own during the Gilroy Garlic Festival.

The festival runs from Friday July 27 to Sunday July 29. Gates open at 10 am and close at 6 pm with festivities wrapping up each day at 7 pm.
