Hollister police investigate two shootings, including drive-by caught on camera
The Hollister Police Department is investigating two shootings, including a drive-by caught on camera.
Both shooting occurred within a couple of hours of each other on July 10.
The first shooting happened in the 600 block of Central Avenue. Hollister PD arrived on scene but said they didn’t find anyone suffering from gunshot wounds or any witnesses. They did find several handgun bullet casings and bullet holes located in a nearby house.
Around 3:06 a.m. that same day, officers responded to a call about gunshots in the area of the 300 block of Locust Avenue.
“Police arrived within minutes but they did not find any victims or any property damage,” said Sgt. Don Pershall.
Officers found five spent bullet casings in the area. After talking with nearby residents, officers obtained video from a surveillance camera showing a white Jeep Grand Cherokee driving by during the shooting.
Sgt. Pershall said, “The video depicts an occupant in the vehicle firing several shots from the car.”
Investigators said they’ve exhausted all leads and are asking for the publics help with information leading to the arrest and conviction of those involved with the shootings.
