Suspect wanted in Greenfield convenience store robbery

The South County Major Crimes Investigations Unit needs the publics help catching a suspected armed robber who stole from a convenience store in Greenfield.

According to the Major Crimes Unit, the suspect entered a Shell gas station and convenience store in the 800 block of El Camino Real around 9:23 p.m. on May 18.

“The suspect removed a large quantity of misc. US Currency without the store clerk’s permission and fled the store. A weapon was simulated but not seen,” the Major Crimes Unit said.

The suspect ran from the store and got into a waiting car parked north of the store and left the area going west on Thorne Road.

Investigators are asking the public for their cooperation. If anyone saw or heard anything the night of the theft they are encouraged to call Detective Leo Guzman at 831-888-7168.

The Major Crimes Unit is not releasing any other information at this time.

The Major Crimes Investigation Unit is a collaboration of the Greenfield and King City Police Departments.
