Driver busted for meth during traffic stop in Santa Cruz

A man is behind bars after he was found with meth during a traffic stop.

Michael Rodgers was pulled over for speeding by Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Deputies on Soquel Drive.

His registration had been expired for almost two years and his driver’s license was suspended, so deputies arrested him and searched the truck.

During the search, deputies found 105 grams of meth and $1500 in cash.

Rodgers was booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail for transportation for sales and driving on a suspended license.

His bail is set at $250,000.
