Romaine E. Coli outbreak linked to tainted water

Good news for salad lovers, romaine lettuce is once again safe to eat.

The nation just experienced one of its most deadly E.coli outbreaks, which was linked to romaine lettuce.

But now the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says all the tainted lettuce should be gone from restaurants and grocery stores and is no longer a risk.

Officials have also disclosed E-coli was found in a canal near romaine fields in Arizona, which is where the outbreak started and where most of the country’s romaine is grown.

Five people died in the outbreak and more than 200-people in 36 states got sick.
