SWAT team arrests seven during drug bust in Salinas
Seven people were arrested after a SWAT raid in Salinas.
Wednesday morning SPD SWAT, Patrol, Detectives, and CHP served a narcotics related search warrant at a home on the 500 block of Victor Street.
SWAT Officers forced entry into the home after one of the occupants who had been outside ran into the house when he saw the officers and locked the door.
Officers removed 16 people form the residence and arrested seven on a variety of charges. A search of the suspects and residence revealed a small amount of heroin, methamphetamine, and evidence consistent with drug sales.
Officers also located an illegal gambling machine containing cash in assorted bills. Salinas Code Enforcement assisted on scene, “red tagged” the residence prior to officers leaving the location, and will be conducting follow up compliance verification.
The following people were arrested as a result of the search warrant service:
Faustino Dorado (48), Resisting Arrest and Probation Violation.
Johnny Camel (49), Possession of Controlled Substance for Sales – Heroin and Methamphetamine.
Ashley Ramirez (28), a search of Ramirez by a female at the station revealed she had concealed a small amount of heroin and methamphetamine in a body cavity. She was booked for Possession of Heroin and Methamphetamine.
Joseph Caldwell (27), felony arrest warrant.
Darrell Camel (21), felony arrest warrant, and four misdemeanor warrants.
Todd Blair (55), two misdemeanor warrants.
Andrea Johnson (27), five misdemeanor warrants.
