Tuesday last day to apply for mail-in ballot
Tuesday, May 29 is the last day to apply for a vote-by-mail ballot for the June 5 Primary Election.
To request a mail ballot, you can fill out an online application, call the elections office, or fill out the application on the back of the county Voter Information Guide.
In Santa Cruz County, applications are also available at the City Clerk’s Offices in Capitola, Santa Cruz, Scotts Valley and Watsonville.
Voters can return their ballot by mail or drop it off at a drive up drop box until 8pm on June 5.
After May 29, voters can still get a ballot in person at the Santa Cruz County Clerk/Elections Department and Watsonville City Clerk’s Office.
The deadline to register to vote was May 21, but since California implemented the “Same Day” registration law, those who missed the deadline can still register to vote at the County Elections Office and other designated places.
