High levels of bacteria found at beach in Pacific Grove
For the second time in less than two weeks, high levels of bacteria were found in the water at a beach in Pacific Grove.
Lovers Point Beach was posted with an advisory after samples taken on May 23 found a high indicator of bacteria. The beach was also posted with an advisory on May 14 for the same reason.
County health officials said, “The beach will remain posted until samples indicate that indicator bacteria are at a safe level for recreational water contact according to state guidelines.”
