Santa Cruz bike thief caught on camera

The Santa Cruz Police Department is reminding folks to keep garage doors closed, even when you’re home.

A man was recently caught on camera stealing a $1,000 bike from a home in a Eastside neighborhood.

“If you see this guy walking in your neighborhood, call us. We want to talk to him about the bike he stole from one of our neighbors,” said SCPD.

Anyone with information on the bike thief is encouraged to call SCPD at 831-420-5820.
