Drunken motorcyclist crashes after chase with Scotts Valley police
A drunken motorcyclist led police on a chase through Scotts Valley before crashing into a yard.
Scotts Valley police spotted the reckless driver speeding through town early Friday morning.
The driver, James Balco, led officers on a pursuit throughout Scotts Valley until he lost control trying to turn around in a resident’s front yard.
“An officer was able to tackle him as he attempted to ride the motorcycle and flee again,” said SVPD.
Balco was found to be intoxicated and did not have a license to operate the motorcycle.
No injuries were reported, and Balco was taken to Santa Cruz County Jail.
