Elon Musk unveils video of first underground LA tunnel

Entrepreneur Elon Musk offered a sneak peek of his latest project on Instagram.

He’s working on an underground tunnel system which he believes can help relieve traffic congestion problems in Los Angeles.

It’s not clear exactly where the tunnel shown in the video is located.

According to a video released last year, Musk’s system would have vehicles moving through underground tunnels on car-sized platforms.

The technology has not been tested.

But last month, the LA city council’s public works committee approved an environmental review exemption for musk’s boring company.

The tunnel would run almost three miles under west LA.

Critics say more review is necessary, because the proposed route would run under one of southern California’s most densely populated areas.
