Santa Cruz prowler rips pants on fence
A concerned resident called 911 after watching a man jump a fence into her backyard.
Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the 2800 block of Soquel Avenue Saturday night.
The woman told deputies she saw the prowler trying to jump her fence into a storage area of a local business.
The man got over the fence but his baggy pants got caught on the top of the chain link fence. After freeing himself he started to look around the storage facility, setting off multiple security alarms.
Deputies found Abriz running from the scene. He had some items from the storage business and his pants had holes in them from his fight with the fence.
“The stolen property was returned and Abriz was arrested for trespassing and petty theft,” said the Sheriff’s Office.
