Reckless driver off Marina streets

A reckless driver is off the streets of Marina.

On April 18, a concerned citizen recorded a red Nissan Altima driving fast and ignoring stop signs. A license plate number was taken down and given to police.

On Thursday, officers saw a man run over to the same car, jump in and speed off, running four stop signs.

Officers caught up with the driver, 20-year-old Edward Telles-Solis near California Avenue and Marina Heights Drive. He was taken into custody for reckless driving and his car was impounded for 30 days.

“Marina Police Department reminds you that reckless driving is a serious crime that endangers the safety of others on the roadway. We would like to thank our local citizens that brought this to our attention and allowed us to take the appropriate action to prevent this from continuing,” said Marina PD.
