Man killed in Prunedale drive-by-shooting ID’d
UPDATE: 4/11/2018 4:01 p.m. A man gunned down in a drive-by-shooting in Prunedale has been identified as 28-year-old Lorenzo Flores.
Flores was shot several times in the area of Country Meadows Drive and Reese Circle on Tuesday.
Monterey County Sheriff Deputies found him laying in the middle of the street suffering multiple gunshot wounds. Flores was taken to Natividad Medical Center where he later died.

The Monterey County Sheriff’s Office said a man shot in a drive-by-shooting in Prunedale has died.
First responders were called out to reports of a male suffering from a gunshot wound shortly before 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.
The drive-by-shooting occurred near Country Meadows Road and Reese Circle.
Monterey County Sheriff Deputies arrived in about five minutes and found the Hispanic male victim laying in the middle of the street suffering multiple gunshot wounds. First responders said the victim may have been followed.
The man suffered life threatening injuries and was taken to Natividad Medical Center where he died.
Prunedale resident A shley Schwartz tells KION she heard the shooting as it happened. “(I) heard about five gun shots. They were really loud, so I knew they were really close.”
She says she has lived in the neighborhood her entire life. She says have a shooting there was surprising. “(It is) definitely concerning. I don’t think this is a bad neighborhood. So it’s definitely surprising to have something like this happen.”
Law enforcement has not confirmed any suspect information. Stay with KION for any developments.
