Santa Cruz ‘constant crook’ caught again
A repeat offender was arrested once again in Santa Cruz over the weekend.
Saturday evening, Santa Cruz Police Department Officers were patrolling Water Street. While in the area, they saw 32-year-old Alexander Madson, who had two outstanding felony warrants for his arrest. In addition to the two felony warrants, Madson was driving a Ford Explorer, that was reported stolen earlier in the day from the west side of Santa Cruz.
Officers caught up to Madson on May Avenue as he continued onto Leonard Street, pulling into the Jack in the Box parking lot.
Madson was taken into custody without incident and arrested for his two felony warrants, possession of a stolen vehicle, driving a motor vehicle while addicted to drugs, possession of stolen property, being released on his own recognizance and committing a felony, as well as other misdemeanor drug and theft-related charges.
Earlier this month, SCPD highlighted a case when Madson was arrested for felony possession of stolen property.
