Cosecha Santa Cruz planning Art Exhibit to highlight role of immigrants in community

The movement known as “Cosecha Santa Cruz” is planning an art exhibit highlighting what it would be like without undocumented immigrants in the community.

Cosecha is a movement that fights for the protection and respect of undocumented immigrants.

Members say holding an “art action” is one of the best ways to show their importance,”art is a great way to do that because it’s one of the ways our community expresses itself and it’s also a way of healing,” says Jenne Miranda Rodrigues.

Vicki Jones who is also helping plan the exhibit says “the goal is to really mobilize a large mass of people instead of appealing to politicians.”

Cosecha is still looking for artists of all kinds from dancers to musicians, and painters to poets. They want to encourage more people to join the fight for immigration rights and give undocumented people a chance to express themselves.
