Hollister school lock down lifted as officers search for wanted suspect

UPDATE: The lockdown at Calaveras School had been lifted. This was in response to a wanted suspect sighted in the area. The lockdown was ordered by School Resource Officers as a precaution only. The suspect was seen several blocks east of the school.

The investigation to locate the suspect will continue. No threats to the school, students our neighborhood at this time.

Calaveras Elementary School in Hollister is currently on lockdown as the Hollister Police Department searches for a wanted suspect.

Hollister Police Department School Resource Officers have ordered the school on Buena Vista be locked down as a precaution for a ground search of the suspect.

Officers are on-scene for the safety of the students. It is not yet known what the suspect is wanted for. KION is gathering more details and will update the story as details come in.
