Road closures in two Central Coast counties
Several roads are closed to prepare for possible flooding in low water crossings on two Central Coast rivers.
According to the Monterey County Resource Management Agency, the following roads will be closed or already closed.
Murphy Road between San Juan Road and Highway 129 in Santa Cruz County by the Pajaro River.
Elm Avenue between Espinosa Road and Metz Road in Salinas at the Salinas River closed at 8:00 p.m. Thursday.
Davis Road between Hitchcock and Reservation Road in Salinas will close around noon Friday.
The closures are in anticipation of high flows of the rivers in the area which can flood the roadways.
No flooding of properties is expected.
