Salinas man gets 6 years in prison for molesting 15-year-old family member

A Salinas man has been sentenced to six years in prison for molesting a 15-year-old family member.

Back in December of 2017, 44-year-old Eliseo Osuna Reyes was home alone with the victim when he went into her room, unzipped her pants and sexually assaulted her. The girl attempted to push Reyes away, but he continued to touch her.

According to the Monterey County District Attorney’s Office, the girl said she was afraid, felt weak, and could not move while Reyes was molesting her.

After the assault, she left her house and waited to go back until she knew her family was home.

Reyes was convicted of a violent felony so he will serve 85 percent of his sentence before being released. He will also have to register as a sexual offender.
