Man shot while driving in Salinas

A man is in the hospital after a shooting in Salinas.

Salinas Police said the victim was shot by someone in a dark colored SUV on Simas Street just before 8:20 p.m. Thursday. The victim was driving when he was hit.

The victim pulled over into a nearby parking lot after the shooting. He was later taken to Natividad Medical Center for one gunshot wound. Police believe his injuries are non-life threatening.

No suspect information at this time.
