Santa Cruz: Erratic driver turns out to be woman in labor
A deputy with the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office had quite the surprise pulling over what he described first as an “erratic driver.”
Instead, while approaching the car, Deputy Farotte realized he didn’t have a standard DUI investigation to conduct because the woman was in labor.
The soon to be mom was pulled over in the Soquel Drive area Friday night.
“The female had gone into labor and was attempting to drive herself to the hospital. Deputy Farotte switch gears and assisted the female by checking her into the nearby hospital,” said the Sheriff’s Office.
Updates on the mom and baby are unknown at this time.
