Salinas: Trial for defendant in deadly child abuse case postponed
The trial for one of the defendants in a deadly child abuse case in Salinas has been moved.
Gonzalo Curiel’s trial was supposed to begin on March 5 but has now been moved to April 2.
He and Tami Huntsman are accused of abusing and killing six year old Shaun and three year old Delilah Tara then dumping their bodies in a plastic bin that was later found in a storage facility in Redding.
The judge in the case is expected to make a ruling on whether to allow that evidence found in the storage unit on February 28th.
