Caught on Camera: Cars swept away by waves

Extreme weather caused large waves along the Washington state coast on Thursday (January 18).

Videos shared on social media showed heavy winds causing high waves at Cape Disappointment and Ocean Park along Washington state’s coast.

Local media reported Cape Disappointment State Park had to be shut down as it became to dangerous for visitors.

The National Weather Service issued an advisory warning of coastal flooding and up to 30-feet waves.
