Aptos suspect caught with drugs, cash and watches

A deputy conducted a business check in Aptos and found a man in possession of drugs, money, and several watches.

According to the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Renwick came across Paul Artau and discovered he was on probation.

“A probation search revealed that Paul was in possession of methamphetamine, a digital scale, drug packaging, and cash,” said the Sheriff’s Office.

Deputy Renwick is looking into whether the watches were stolen.

Artau was booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail for being in possession of a controlled substance for sale.
