Man accused of scamming Morgan Hill victims arrested
The man accused of scamming hundreds of dollars out of people in the South Bay has been arrested.
Morgan Hill Police detectives arrested Jayson Goodrich in San Jose Monday.
“Goodrich admitted that for the last six months he was “hustling” citizens from Sacramento to King City and would try to make $1000 per day,” said Morgan Hill Police.
Goodrich went to at least five locations in Morgan Hill where he came up with a fake sob story to make money.
“His story ranges from his truck broke down to he lost his wallet, to his father in law had a heart attack,” said MHPD.
Numerous people gave Goodrich money and despite his promise to come right back in “45 minutes” he never returned.
