Two earthquakes rattle near Soledad
Two small earthquakes have rattled south Monterey County within a span of four hours.
The first quake, a magnitude 2.6 earthquake struck near Soledad around 6:03 a.m. Monday. According to the United States Geological Survey, the quake hit about 14 miles north east of Soledad and had a depth of about 3 miles.
One person reported feeling a weak shake in San Juan Bautista about 23 miles away from the epicenter.
No injuries have been reported.
The second quake, a magnitude 3.0 hit in the same area, about 14 miles north east of Soledad around 10:44 a.m. The earthquake had a depth of 2.7 miles. People in Salinas, and San Juan Bautista reported feeling it.
