Eco-friendly ice rink coming to Capitola Village

Just in time for the holidays, a new eco-friendly attraction is coming to Capitola Village, turning the little beach town into a winter wonderland.

Starting December 15, folks will be able to enjoy ice skating with a beautiful view of Capitola Beach.

“iSKATE Capitola is an eco-friendly, synthetic ice pop-up rink, designed to give the same feeling as skating on real ice without the water waste and energy costs of conventional ice rinks. It is constructed of a unique plastic polymer that is treated with a water based food grade propylene glycol which is used in dozens of food products. It is completely harmless to people and the environment!”

Skating sessions last two hours. “iSkate Capitola” is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and will go on until January 7.

It’s $15 for general admission, including skate rentals. General admission is $10 if you bring your own skates.

Tickets can be purchased online but sales are limited. Purchase tickets HERE.
