69-year-old man dies after being hit by car
A San Jose man is dead after California Highway Patrol officials say he was struck by a vehicle Monday night.
Officials responded to an area south of Cottle Road and when they arrived, it was determined to be a vehicle vs. pedestrian incident.
The 69-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials determined the man was walking within a lane on SR-85 south of Cottle Road, when he was struck by a 2010 Honda Civic traveling in that lane.
