Pfeiffer Canyon Bridge officially open again
The day has finally come for the official opening of the Pfeiffer Canyon Bridge.
The old bridge suffered major damage from winter storms and had to be demolished. For 8 months, residents in the area and visitors were not able to cross the bridge, that provided a vital route for many.
Crews have been working hard for this day, first pulling 900 tons of metal beams across the canyon and lowering them to ground level. They worked through weekends and heatwaves.
Cars will be able drive across beginning at 5 on Friday afternoon.
KION’s Ashley Keehn will have the latest on the opening at 5 and 6.
