Suspect busted driving stolen car in Santa Cruz
A car thief was busted driving a stolen vehicle in Santa Cruz.
According to the Santa Cruz County Anti-Crime Team, Gang Task Force officers were patrolling the area of Seabright Avenue and Broadway Drive around 12 p.m. Wednesday when they ran the plates on a red Mitsubishi Montero. Records showed the officers that the car had been reported stolen three weeks ago in Watsonville.
Santa Cruz Police helped with a vehicle stop on Effey and Sumner Street in Santa Cruz. Officers arrested the driver, 44-year-old Michael Toledo. Toledo also had three outstanding warrants.
