Putin ordered that Russian nuclear weapons be prepared for increased readiness to launch. U.S. and NATO officials have condemned Putin for raising mention of his nuclear arsenal. Ukrainians awoke Sunday to street fighting in the country’s second-largest city, Kharkhiv. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has agreed to send Ukrainians to talks with Russian counterparts on the Belarus border at an unspecified time and location. The European Union’s top official says the EU for the first time in its history will buy and send weapons to a third-party nation, Ukraine.
