Felix the swan to be booted from Santa Cruz mobile home park

Felix the swan is in the spotlight yet again.

You may remember our report back in March when a resident at De Anza mobile home park said she was attacked by Felix.

Though Felix has won over the hearts of many residents, others say he is aggressive. For this reason, it was recommended for onsite managers to put up a fence around his living area. But Felix attacked another person on Friday.

Officials with the SPCA for Monterey County tell us they received a call on Monday asking if they would be able to accept a swan, and gladly said yes. They tell us the SPCA has a good history with adopting out swans, and they are hopeful.

Felix has not yet been moved, but Humane Wildlife Control says that is planned for tomorrow.

KION’s Zach McIntyre will have more on the story tonight.
