Lompoc Police asking for public’s help locating at-risk missing teen

Lompoc Police are continuing to seek the public’s help in finding an at-risk missing Lompoc teenager.

16-year-old Krystal Jongsma was last seen at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday walking towards the library at Cabrillo High School. Jongsma did not attend any of her classes. She was last seen wearing dark-colored pants and a dark-colored sweatshirt. She had on an olive green backpack.

Lompoc police are actively searching for Jongsma today, and investigating leads. Part of the search effort is concentrated in the chaparral near Cabrillo High School where teenagers are known to socialize.

Police are working closely with the Lompoc Unified School District (LUSD) and Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office.

Anyone with information on Jongsma’s whereabouts is encouraged to call Lompoc police at 805-736-2341.
