Mobile TSA PreCheck program hoping to cut down on airport time

Residents in Monterey, Carmel and surrounding areas will have an opportunity to enroll in a program intended to help cut down on time at the airport.

IdentoGO, the exclusive enrollment provider for the TSA PreCheck trusted traveler program, is helping to enroll in PreCheck and avoid the hassle and long lines of new security measures when they travel this fall and winter.

The IdentoGO RV is a mobile enrollment center traveling the country, and it’s parked outside the Monterey Regional Airport now through Friday, October 6.

TSA PreCheck is a risk-based security program that provides a more convenient and faster way to travel. PreCheck enrollees are not required to remove shoes, belts or light jackets, and laptops and liquids can stay in carry-ons bags during airport security screening, and enrollees are not subject to the latest TSA screening rules.

To enroll, attendees must bring a government-issued photo ID with proof of U.S. Citizenship (i.e. a passport or birth certificate) and complete a 10-minute fingerprinting process.

While walk-ins are welcome, appointments take priority and are highly encouraged – to schedule an appointment in advance visit www.IdentoGO.com/RV.

Hours this Friday, Oct. 6 are from 9am – 12pm.
