Lane closures on Highway 101 planned for Thursday, expect delays
There will be alternating lane closures on Southbound U.S. Highway 101 at Rocks and Cannon Roads. Caltrans is removing signs and replacing them beginning at 9:00 a.m. The closure should last through the afternoon Thursday and cause up to 20 minute delays.
“We often need to take a lane for the safety of our workers and also the public, so they don’t get into harm’s way. It has to be done, and it has to be done during the daytime because it’s harder at night,” said Caltrans Susana Cruz.
Caltrans wants to remind drivers to move over and slow down when driving through highway construction zones.
