Man shot at Natividad Creek Park in Salinas

Salinas Police are investigating a shooting at Natividad Creek Park.

According to police, it happened around 8 p.m Wednesday night. Officers arrived on scene shortly afterward and found a 23-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to the back of his head. The victim was still conscious and said that the suspects had walked up from behind, shot him, and then fled. The male victim collapsed in the parking lot.

The victim was taken to Natividad Medical Center where doctors were able to stabilize him.

Officers searched the area but no suspects were found. Salinas Police ask anyone with information to contact the Investigations Division at 831-758-7226.
