Several gang members arrested in Santa Cruz County drug bust
Several active gang members in Santa Cruz County have been arrested in a drug bust, according to Watsonville police.
Watsonville police officers, with the help of CHP and California State Parole, served arrest and search warrants at homes in Watsonville, Moss Landing and other residences throughout Santa Cruz County.
Officers confiscated five firearms and gang paraphernalia, along with marijuana, tobacco and cocaine.
Eight people were arrested in total. They face charges of conspiracy to smuggle drugs into a correctional facility while being active members of a criminal street gang.
