Central Coast vacation faves snubbed by WalletHub

Take heart charming Carmel and cute Capitola, Stockton and Fresno made the list even if you didn’t so maybe that’s not such a bad thing.

WalletHub recently came out with its 2017’s Best Summer Vacation Spots and not one Central Coast town – not even Santa Cruz, Monterey or Big Sur! – made the list of 80 locations. That’s because WalletHub looked at budget travel, having fun while keeping spending in check.

WalletHub said its data team looked at everything from the cost of the cheapest flight to the number of attractions and even the weather.

Sacramento came in #9, Stockton-Lodi snagged the 25th spot while San Francisco ranked 27th.

3. Orlando-Kissimmee-Sanford, FL
4. Chicago, Naperville, Elgin, IL
